Secret Spot was established in 1989 in Scarborough by Roger Povey. Rog used to hire boards out of his trailor to surfers at North and South Bay. A year or so later, Roger decided to set up permenent premises on Hanover Road selling the finest boards, wetsuits and clothing the 90's could offer. In 1992, Secret Spot moved to the store it still stands in today, Pavillion Terrace, and Rog found a new partner in the growth of the business, Tomo.
Secret Spot is one of the oldest surf shops in the country and is still run by Tomo. Surfers and surfing may have changed but one thing has remained the same and that's Secret Spot provides the best kit surfers could ever want and expert advice.
