hi folks, well the good run of surf is taking a break for a couple of days, its been a pretty dam good august surf wise so lets hope september produces some nice autumnal groundswells. its going to be fairly quiet over the next 2 days with small 1 foot waves forecast. its set to pick up over sunday as the winds turn ese giving us some easterly surf for the start of next week. expect it to feel like autumn as those easterly winds will bring us some cooler air.

wednesday 1st sep
Swell Direction: N - Size: 0-1ft - Wave Quality: we have around half a foot left over from mondays big swell, not quite surfable and likely to stay the same throughout the day.
Wind: 8 mph - Direction: VARIABLE - High Tides: 9:58pm 4.8m
thursday 2nd
Swell Direction: N - Size: 1ft - Wave Quality: small again today, around half a foot to a foot with light onshore winds
Wind: 8 mph - Direction: ENE - High Tides: 11:10pm 4.7m
friday 3rd
Swell Direction: N - Size: 1ft - Wave Quality: We could see a little surfable wave today, ok for learners and a longboard, again light onshore winds, no bigger than a foot and a half though and check the webcams before you set off.
Wind: 6 mph - Direction: E - High Tides: 11:57am 4.7m
saturday 4th
Swell Direction: ENE - Size: 1-2ft - Wave Quality: as the winds turn easterly we should see the surf start to build, it will start small in the morning but should build through the afternoon. as ever with a wind swell the stronger the wind the bigger the surf so expect onshore winds for a couple of days.
Wind: 12 mph - Direction: ENE - High Tides: 1:28pm 4.8m
Next update: saturday 4th

All times are GMT except Mar 27 - Oct 29 wich are British Summer Time
This Surf Forcast is for scarborough area covering North Bay, South Bay and Cyton Bay. The predictions shown are based on a westerly wind being offshore.
